Merseyside philosophy and debate organisation PIPs (Philosophy in Pubs) inform me that Liverpool’s radical bookshop News From Nowhere (Bold Street) is – as with many independent bookshops – struggling at the moment.
It would be great if people could get their books from or through News From Nowhere rather than the big chains or online stores.
Like any shop, News from Nowhere can get most books you need and will order them for you.
Workers at the shop are either voluntary or on minimum wage and provide a top notch service; they’re extremely knowledgeable and passionate about what they do.
They have an impressive range of magazines, notebooks and diaries as well.
You can visit their website here: http://newsfromnowhere.org.uk/index.php
Thank you!

I don’t think I ever been there when I lived in Liverpool. Boy I feel ashamed of myself. I LOVE independent bookshops.

It’s tucked away a little bit, easily missed if you’re not looking for it. A wonderful shop – but then all indie bookshops are, aren’t they?
