MY LIFE IN LIPPY AND LEOPARD PRINT

The (occasionally weird) stuff I did this year

You know at the start of every January you get to thinking, “what will I get up to this year?”

It’s usually to do with good health, cracking on with one’s career, that sort of thing. I admit I dream some of that stuff too.

But at 2011′s end I never imagined in a million years some of the stuff I actually did over the following months.

This may not seem much to you, but getting our Vic Godard mugs at a gig by the great man was super-duper. Partly because Andy and I didn’t know Vic did mugs, and as soon as we did we had to have some.

Tea tastes amazing in them.

This year we got not one, not two, but three Siamese cats coming to live with us. Midnight became Victor, Ruby transformed into Betsy and Jade emerged as Penny. Lots of people frown and get a bit funny when you rename cats but these three didn’t get a weed on about it and aren’t emotionally scarred. Not much, anyway.

I started modelling – and worked with firemen at Liverpool Fashion Live on the catwalk:

I have more modelling assignments lined up for 2013!

At the beginning of January 2012 I’m not sure if I knew what punting was exactly (well, I am from Chorley), but in December I ‘went punting’ in Cambridge with some friends, and had an absolute blast:

Of course I’ve spent a horrendous amount of time on Twitter

Happy New Year everyone, I hope your 2012 has been good to you, and here’s to 2013 x

That’s amazing it is good we can’t predict what is going to happen as we wouldn’t believe it I think.. I’ve not got a blog yet but things I did this year which I never would of dreamt of – responding to blog posts, storytelling and talking to a naked 70 years old man outside a sauna to name a few. Also making new friends with people I never knew existed – a Liverpool based blogger who comes from Chorley, an amazing life’s adventurer who lost many things dear to her heart but through it has the most amazing person skills & a group of 5 rhythmn dancers who dance in a place called Wildways. So looking forward to see what 2013 brings and to continue to read your blog & be inspired & entertained by it.

You should start a blog, Andy. You do so much interesting stuff – imagine if you had photos to go with it! (the sauna ‘experience’ sounds a hoot) Thanks for reading, and your comments this year x
