I’m a writer of prose and script, currently mentored by Amanda Nevill, Director of the British Film Institute via Marie Claire Magazine’s Inspire & Mentor.
My sitcom The Adventures of Tommy Sex has been optioned by a Liverpool based TV production company.
My debut crime novel The Missing Link featuring Liverpool DS Constance Ward is nearing completion.
The novel was placed second at 2011′s Festival of Writing (York) in their novel competition for new writers. The Missing Link also ‘won’ all four Dragons at Theakston’s Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival’s Dragon’s Pen competition in 2010 (Harrogate).
My screenplay Past Glories, a dark comedy, was commissioned and produced by Liverpool film production company First Take in 2010.
I co-wrote a feature film ‘Big Society – The Musical’ in 2011 with First Take; it is currently in production and will be released this year.

Last year, actress Joanne Ferguson performed my satirical monologue The Audition in Manchester. My stage play The Bus Stop – another satire - was performed in the city in October.
In the past year, I have appeared on Five’s The Wright Stuff, The Vanessa Show and Radio 4′s Front Row. I join Mick Coyle on Liverpool’s City Talk 105.9 every Tuesday morning at 7.15am and chat to Roy Basnett at 7.45am on the same day on Warrington, Widnes and Runcorn’s Wire FM.
My collection of short stories, Broken is out now via Amazon for Kindle here.
As well as the Mersey Writer About Town, I also have a blog at Hello! and write for The Liverpool Post’s Dale Street Associates.
